About Community Meeting #5

The Aliso Canyon Disaster Health Research Study examines short- and long-term effects of the disaster and routine emissions on the health of communities in proximity to the Aliso Canyon underground gas storage facility.

The UCLA Health Study Team hosted a community meeting to share and discuss:

  • Preliminary findings:

    • Changes in emergency department visits during and after the blowout as a method of measuring impact on resident health

    • Estimates of how pollutants traveled through the air during the blowout
  • Study Updates
