Air Quality and Pipeline Gas Sampling Reports
UCLA conducted air quality monitoring and sampling of natural gas delivered to homes to understand the composition of natural gas and to inform assessment of potential ongoing health impacts in communities near the Aliso Canyon natural gas storage facility.
The Indoor and Outdoor Air Quality report summarizes the results of air quality measurements collected inside and outside of homes in communities near the Aliso Canyon natural gas storage facility (the affected area) and in comparison communities. Air quality measurements were taken to understand if exposures in the affected community are different than in comparison communities, and to determine whether any observed levels are above health-protective standards.

The Pipeline Gas Sampling report summarizes the results of sampling unburned natural gas supplied to people’s homes. These samples were collected to inform environmental modeling for the study and to understand potential community exposures to hazardous air pollutants from natural gas.
