UCLA Aliso Canyon Disaster Health Research Study
Community Meeting #2
About Community Meeting #2
Tuesday, November 14, 2023
6:00 p.m.–7:30 p.m.
Online via Zoom
The Aliso Canyon Disaster Health Research Study examines short- and long-term effects of the disaster and routine emissions on the health of communities living and working in proximity to the Aliso Canyon underground gas storage facility.
Key study methodology components include identification of the disaster impact zone (geographic area where people were likely affected) and selection of comparison communities (or control groups that were unaffected). As part of its ongoing community engagement, UCLA is holding a community meeting to inform and hear feedback from community members about these topics.
The UCLA Health Study Team invites you to a community meeting to discuss and provide feedback on:
- Identification of the disaster impact zone
- Selection of comparison communities
